Tomzy App - Numeric Memo Reminder

Numeric Memo Reminder:

This “Numerical Memo Reminder” is one of the “Tomzy Apps," a series of iPhone Apps for aged persons created by the 78 year-old Japanese developer, "Tomzy."
These Tomzy Apps have been developed and designed based on a strong desire to help senior citizens who might wish, in their hearts, to be able to use handheld devices such as the iPhone and iPad without the help of their children or grandchildren. Thus these Apps will be equipped with simple functions, easy-to-understand explanations by video and voice, and “Go Back”buttons so that senior citizens don't lose their way.

This App provides a memo pad designed specifically for recording numeric entries for short-term activities only.

The key feature of this App is that a numerical keyboard appears at the first moment and the user can therefore record a number instantly.

For example, it can be used when the user finds the departure times of a bus or train he or she is soon planning to ride. The user may also use it when they wish to remember the telephone number of a friend, or it can be used for recording a few numeric figures when wishing to do a money transfer at the bank.

There are four columns where 4 numeric memo can be stored.

You can input in seven columns of numbers with the same size. A number is displayed small when you put the number from 8 columns to 15 columns.

You can lock these numbers by tapping the white button with the 'lock' icon. By doing so, you can see a label marked as 'locked'. Now, you cannot erase the number.

If you wish to erase the locked number, you must tap the right-hand button with the 'clear' icon. A guidance screen with confirmation alert messages will appear. If the 'OK' button is tapped, then the number is erased and you can input it again in the column.

[Storing Numeric Memos]

Please note that any touches on the screen will not break the device.

There are four columns where numeric memos can be stored.

The user can input numbers up to 7 digits long in the same size font. A number will be displayed in smaller font size when it is from 8 to 15 digits long.

You can lock these numbers by tapping the white button with the 'lock' icon. When doing so, you will see a label marked as 'locked'. After that, you cannot erase the number. This app is designed for only short term memory, and inputted figures may disappear depending on the usage of the device or the app. Therefore, you are recommended to back up important figures on other apps or paper memos in order to avoid a data loss accident.

[Erasing Locked Numbers]

If you wish to erase a locked number, you must first tap the right-hand button with the 'clear' icon. A guidance screen with confirmation alert messages will appear. If the 'OK' button is then tapped, the number is erased and you can input it again in the blank column.

In case you wish to erase all numbers, please tap the 'All clear' button. By then tapping the 'OK' button in order to confirm, you should note that all numbers will have now been erased.
